In 1971 the Dutch
rock group Earth & Fire scored two hit-singles in the Dutch
charts: "Invitation" and "Storm and Thunder"
taken from their second album "Song of the marching children".
Earth & Fire
was formed in 1968 by the twin brothers, Chris and Gerard Koerts.
They renamed their former band Opus Gainfull when singer Manuela
Berloth joined them. The band recorded two songs but were not offered
a contract. In 1969 Berloth was replaced by Jerney Kaagman. The first
album, "Earth and Fire" released in 1970, produced three hits:
"Seasons", "Ruby is the one" and "Wild and
exciting".
