The American spy-series "The Girl from U.N.C.L.E."
premiered on 13 September 1966 on NBC. The series was created by
Norman Felton and Sam Rolfe and ran for one season from 1966 to 1967
with a total of 29 episodes. The main stars are Stefanie Powers as
April Dancer and Noel Harrison as her British partner Mark Slate. The
series is a spin-off from The Man from U.N.C.L.E., it uses the same
theme music by Jerry Goldsmith with a different arrangement by Dave
Grusin.

Synopsis

- Originally April Dancer was to be named
Cookie Fortune, it was the James Bond author Ian Fleming who
suggested the name April Dancer when he helped in the creation of
"The Man from U.N.C.L.E." (1964).
- Leo G. Carroll played the same
character (Alexander Waverly) in "The Man from U.N.C.L.E."
(1964-1968).
- The characters April Dancer and Mark
Slate were introduced in the "The Man from U.N.C.L.E."
episode "The Moonglow Affair" (1966). In their first
appearance they were portrayed by Mary Ann Mobley and Norman Fell.
- In the episode "The Mother Muffin
Affair" (1966) April Dancer is teamed up with "The Man from
U.N.C.L.E." character Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn).
