The Italian adventure-comedy film "Il ratto delle sabine" (English title: "The Rape of the Sabines") was released on 15 November 1961 in Italy. The film was directed by Richard Pottier with a screenplay by Edoardo Anton based on a novel by André Castelot. Main stars are Mylène Demongeot as Rea and Roger Moore as Romulus.

Synopsis
The classic story from the early days of Rome where there are no women. Romulus, the founder of Rome, finds women to be wives from Sabina where there are a lot of women. The Sabine men, of course, attack Rome to get their wives and daughters back...
