1965, Film: Rotten to the Core

The British comedy film "Rotten to the Core" premiered on 14 July 1965. It was directed and written by John Boulting, with co-writing credits going to his brother, Roy Boulting. The music was composed by Michael Dress. The leading roles were played by Anton Rodgers, Charlotte Rampling, Eric Sykes, Ian Bannen, Thorley Walters, Peter Vaughan, and Dudley Sutton.

Synopsis
Rogues Jelly Knight (Dudley Sutton), Scapa Flood (James Beckett), and Lennie the Dip (Kenneth Griffith) are released from prison expecting their boss, the Duke (Anton Rodgers), to have their share of the loot ready. Instead, they are met by the Duke’s girl, Sara (Charlotte Rampling), who informs them that the Duke is dead and that the money was spent on nursing care. However, they soon discover that the Duke is very much alive and running the Hope Springs Nature Clinic…

1977, Belgian Comics: De 4 helden, De witte hoeden

In 1977, the album "De witte hoeden" ("The White Hats") from the series "De 4 helden" ("The 4 Heroes") was published by Casterman. The Belgian comic book series, illustrated by François Craenhals and written by Georges Chaulet, originally appeared in French under the title "Les 4 As". The 4 Heroes began as a series of six children's books by Chaulet, published between 1957 and 1962. From 1964 onwards, the stories were also released in comic book form.

The series centres around the adventures of four friends and their dog:

  • Boutje (French: Lastic) – The all-rounder, particularly skilled with technology.
  • Staartje (French: Dina) – The girl of the group, mainly interested in fashion, make-up, and home décor.
  • Prof (French: Doc or Doct) – The brainy one, who reads extensively and knows a bit about everything.
  • Dikkie (French: Bouffi) – A food lover who enjoys good meals and drinks.
  • Lucky (French: Oscar) – A fox terrier with a distinctive black ring around one eye, who always accompanies the Four as their pet.

Synopsis
After the car Sidderrog was destroyed in the adventure "The K-Bomb", Boutje builds a caravan pulled by the little donkey Pom.
