The Jaguar E-Type was
introduced, initially for export only, in March 1961. The domestic
market (UK) launch came four months later in July 1961. The E-Type
was designed as a rear-wheel drive grand tourer in two-seater coupé
form (FHC or Fixed Head Coupé) and as convertible (OTS or Open Two
Seater). The 2+2 version with a lengthened wheelbase was released
several years later.
The E-type was
manufactured between 1961 and 1974 in three series: Series 1
(1961-1968), Series II (1969-1971) and Series 3 (1971-1974). In total
72515 E-Type's were made. (FHC: 20297; OTS: 33996; 2+2: 18222)

To quote a famous line for the E-type Jaguar, “The most beautiful car ever made…”. Even after 50 years, this remains to be the most gorgeous vehicle I have ever laid eyes on. With the classic two-seater and the all-vintage sound its motors produce, I can just envision myself cruising down a 60’s movie-like drive on the road.

The E-type convertible is really gorgeous and elegant! That was the car my wife and I used when we got married. :) Driving an open, two-seater car with the woman you love is just so amazing! :'D
