The American
fantasy comedy film "Blackbeard's Ghost" is released on 8
February 1968 in the USA by Walt Disney Productions. The film,
directed by Robert Stevenson, was written by Don DaGradi and Bill
Walsh based on the novel with the same name by Ben Stahl from 1965.
Main stars are Peter Ustinov, Dean Jones and Suzanne Pleshette. The
music was composed by Robert F. Brunner.
Synopsis
Steve Walker (Dean
Jones) arrives at the Godolphin College to take the position of track
coach. He lodges at the Blackbeard's Inn, run by the Daughters of the
Buccaneers who claim to be descendants of the notorious pirate. The
daughters are trying to pay off their mortgage to keep the inn from
being bought by the local crime boss, Silky Seymour (Joby Baker), who
wants to build a casino on the land...
