1960, Television: Surfside 6

On October 3, 1960, the American detective series "Surfside 6" was broadcast for the first time on ABC. The series, created by William T. Orr and Hugh Benson, was produced by Warner Bros. Television. The main roles were played by Troy Donahue as Sandy Winfield II, Van Williams as Kenny Madison, Lee Patterson as Dave Thorne, Diane McBain as Daphne Dutton and Margarita Sierra as Cha Cha O'Brien. During two seasons a total of 74 episodes were made. Each black-and-white episode lasts approximately 60 minutes. The theme music was written by Jerry Livingston and Mack David.

Synopsis

Trivia
Margarita Sierra died in 1963 at the age of 27, from complications following heart surgery performed a day earlier.
