In 1975, the 31st "Piet Pienter en Bert Bibber" album, "Polarisatie-preparaat XX", was published by De Vlijt. The comic series "Piet Pienter en Bert Bibber" was created in 1950 by Jozef Van Hove, better known by his pen name Pom, for the Belgian newspaper Het Handelsblad. The first story, "Het Vredeswapen" ("The Peace Weapon"), was published on 16 April 1951. After completing nine stories for Het Handelsblad, Pom moved to Gazet van Antwerpen, where he continued the adventures of Piet Pienter and Bert Bibber.
